Dr. William Matthews is a General Psychiatrist with extensive training in Psychopharmacology and therapy for adult psychiatric disorders including but not limited to substance dependence, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. In his private practice at Carolina Performance, Dr. Matthews offers medication and supportive psychotherapy, utilizing techniques of motivational interviewing. Specifically, Dr. Matthews offers the Suboxone (Buprenorphine and Naloxone) maintenance program for recovery in opiate addiction, Psychopharmacologic treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder, as well as other substance use disorders.

FEES
Payment is due at the time of the scheduled appointment. 24 hour cancellation notice is required to avoid the full fee charge for missed or cancelled appointment.
Although Dr. Matthews does not directly collaborate with insurance networks, patients are welcome to self-pay at the time of the appointment and file out-of-network benefits with their insurance provider afterward. Dr. Matthews will provide documentation to facilitate your claim.
